Welcome to Something Extra®! We know it would be easier not to have terms and conditions to read, but then you might miss some of the nifty features of Something Extra®. And we plan to change and improve Something Extra® over time, so please come back and check this page frequently for any changes.
OVERVIEW. Members of Something Extra® may earn points in connection with the purchase of eligible products at participating locations, through participation in specified events, and by performing specified activities, subject to the terms and conditions on this page (“Terms and Conditions”). Points are redeemable toward the purchase of certain products or services at participating locations via a quarterly reward voucher once a Member has a minimum balance of 500 points. Points and reward vouchers are issued for promotional purposes only, are non-transferable, cannot be redeemed for cash, and do not constitute property of the Member.
ENROLLMENT. Only individuals age 18 or older and residing in the United States may enroll to become Members of Something Extra® by completing the enrollment form, available at Raleys.com or NobHill.com (hereafter each referred to as “the Website”). Individuals may also enroll at Raley’s, Bel Air, or Nob Hill Foods stores or by calling the Raley’s Service Center at 800-925-99891. With information gathered during the enrollment process, Something Extra® will create a Member Account to track the Member’s points and a Profile for the Member to control communication preferences. Employees of Raley’s Family of Fine Stores may enroll to become Members of Something Extra® regardless of age.
MEMBERSHIP. No purchase is necessary to become a Member of the Something Extra® Program. By enrolling in the Something Extra® Program, Members agree to be bound by and accept the Terms and Conditions. The Something Extra® Program is not available in all areas and is void where prohibited by law.
LOYALTY NUMBER. At enrollment, Members will be required to create a Loyalty Number consisting of 10 digits. Each Loyalty Number must be unique. If a Member attempts to establish a Loyalty Number that already exists as another Member’s Loyalty Number in the Something Extra® Program, the Member will be required to select a different number.
OPTIONAL LOYALTY CARD. In addition to creating a Loyalty Number, a Member can choose to receive a Loyalty Card. We strongly recommend you protect your Loyalty Card like you would cash. Raley’s Family of Fine Stores is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged Loyalty Cards. To ensure proper handling of points and Member Accounts, lost or stolen Loyalty Cards must be reported immediately to the Raley’s Service Center at 800-925-9989 or at the Website. Loyalty Cards remain the property of Raley’s Family of Fine Stores, privileges may be rescinded at any time, and Loyalty Cards must be surrendered to us upon request.
EARNING POINTS. A Loyalty Number must be entered or a Loyalty Card must be scanned at the register at the time of purchase to earn points through the Something Extra® Program. Members earn 1 point per $1 spent on eligible products at participating Raley’s, Bel Air, Nob Hill Foods stores and Aisle 1 convenience stores, subject to certain EXCLUSIONS set forth below. Points are awarded on net purchases made when either a Loyalty Number is entered or a Loyalty Card is scanned at checkout. Purchases made without a Loyalty Number or Loyalty Card will not earn points. When calculating the points to be awarded, eligible purchases will be rounded to the nearest dollar value. For example, $47.50 purchase would earn 48 points whereas $47.49 purchase would earn 47 points. Purchases made prior to the Member’s enrollment in Something Extra® are not eligible to earn points.
REAL-TIME POINTS ACCUMULATION. Earned points will be posted to the Member Account at the time of purchase. The amount of points available in the Member Account, including points earned in the current transaction, will be reflected on the Member’s receipt when the transaction completes. In the event that the point-of-sale system is offline, points will be posted to the Member Account as soon as possible. Points earned for eligible purchases made online will be posted at the time of store pickup, when the transaction is complete.
EXPIRATION. Points expire if there is no change in the points balance in a Member Account for 180 days.
PHARMACY. Out-of-pocket (i.e., co-pay/non-insurance) Pharmacy purchases can earn points. The amount of points earned is based on the Member’s total out-of-pocket amount paid.
ECART PURCHASES. Points may be earned on eCart purchases and are posted to the Member Account at the time of store pickup, when the transaction is complete.
AISLE 1 Members earn 1 point per $1 spent on eligible products at participating Aisle 1 convenience stores. No points are earned on fuel purchases. Something Extra® membership is required to participate in the Aisle 1 Fuel Rewards Program.
EXCLUSIONS. Exclusions (items that, when purchased, do not earn points) include: tobacco, lottery tickets, event tickets, postage stamps, certain prepaid cards, gift cards, money orders and any other in-store services (services include, without limitation and by way of example, mailbox rental fees, postal services fees, dry cleaning fees), alcohol, tax, the portions of a prescription’s cost not paid out of pocket by the Member, fees (such as CRV and ecart handling fee), and fuel and fuel services, plus any products prohibited by law.
EXTRA POINTS. Raley’s Family of Fine Stores may occasionally offer “extra point” promotions in connection with the purchase of specified products or performing specified activities. Extra point offers will be time bound and subject to the conditions of the offer and may be available at any time at our sole discretion. Extra point promotions are valid for a limited time only and may, without advance notice, be ended.
REWARD REDEMPTION. A Member may redeem earned points via a quarterly reward voucher when there is a minimum balance of 500 points available in the Member Account. When the Member Account has 500 points or more at the end of a calendar quarter, a reward voucher will be issued after the end of the calendar quarter (i.e., after March 31, June 30, September 30 or December 31). The reward voucher can only be redeemed on in-store purchases of eligible items, subject to the following EXCLUSIONS: alcohol, gift cards, the portion of a prescription cost not paid out of pocket by a member, fuel, fuel services, or any products prohibited by law. If the Member Account has a balance of less than 500 points at the time the voucher is to be issued, the Member will not receive a reward voucher, but the earned points will remain available in the Member Account unless the points have expired. Reward vouchers expire one year after issuance. If a reward voucher is lost, damaged or stolen before its expiration date, please let us know by calling the Raley’s Service Center at 800-925-9989. When using the reward voucher at checkout, the net purchase price of the eligible items must meet or exceed the reward voucher value and the Member must redeem the entire voucher balance and use another payment method to pay for the remaining balance, including excluded items.
RETURNS. Raley’s Family of Fine Stores reserves the right to deduct points from a Member Account if points earned for a purchase become the subject of a return, refund, returned check due to non-sufficient funds, or other credit.
CHECKING POINT BALANCE. Members can check available point balance on receipt, via the Website at any time or by calling the Raley’s Service Center at 800-925-9989. A Member’s point balance shall equal the balance shown in our records. If there is a discrepancy between our records and the Member’s own records, our records will determine the point balance unless the Member can prove otherwise to our satisfaction.
UPDATES TO MEMBER INFORMATION. Members can keep their personal information up to date via their Profile on the Website. The information obtained from the Profile and through the Member’s purchase activity will allow Raley’s Family of Fine Stores to customize product offerings, improve the Member’s shopping experience, and provide the Member with marketing information. Once you enroll to become a Member of Something Extra® , you will automatically receive promotion notifications and other communications. A Member may also opt in to receive mobile communications. Members can control their communication preferences via their Profile on the Website. Printed promotional materials will be mailed only to those households within our marketing territory. As required by California law, we do not sell or share a cardholder’s name, address, telephone number, or other personal identification information, except to provide cardholder names and addresses to a third party for purposes of mailing Loyalty Card information to cardholders on our behalf. Such third parties are contractually required not to use the information for any other purpose.
MEMBERSHIP CANCELLATION. Members may cancel their Something Extra® membership by calling the Raley’s Service Center. Upon cancellation, any unused reward voucher and any unused points in the Member Account will be forfeited and cannot be redeemed. Once membership is cancelled, the Loyalty Number and the Loyalty Card may not be used to earn points.
POINT TRANSFERS. Points and reward vouchers are not transferable, including, without limitation, in the event of death, as part of a domestic relations matter, or as part of a trust or estate. The sale or barter of points or reward vouchers is prohibited.
MISUSE OF PROGRAM. Raley’s Family of Fine Stores may revoke membership in Something Extra® at any time and for any or no reason at all, including, without limitation, if a Member abuses the Something Extra® Program or fails to follow the Terms and Conditions. Fraud or abuse relating to the earning of points or redemption of reward vouchers will result in revocation of membership and may affect a Member’s eligibility to participate in other programs offered by Raley’s Family of Fine Stores.
AMENDMENT. We may amend the Terms and Conditions at any time by posting updated or revised Terms and Conditions on the Website. Please check the Website frequently for updates or revisions to the Terms and Conditions. Use of your Loyalty Number or Loyalty Card after the effective date of any amendment to the Terms and Conditions shall confirm that you agree to the amendment. If you do not agree to an amendment to the Terms and Conditions, you must stop using your Loyalty Number and Loyalty Card, and cancel your membership.
TAXES. The Something Extra® Program points and reward vouchers may be subject to tax liability. Any tax liability shall be the responsibility of the Member.
UNFORESEEN EVENTS. Events beyond our control (such as computer equipment or electronic data transmission failure, strikes, civil disturbance, fire, or flood) which may materially affect our ability to perform will allow us to suspend or terminate the Something Extra® Program.
DISPUTES AND APPLICABLE LAW. Members agree that these Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflicts of laws provisions. You agree to the personal jurisdiction by and venue in the state and federal courts in Yolo County, California, and waive any objection to such jurisdiction or venue. Any claim under these Terms and Conditions must be brought within one (1) year after the cause of action arises, or such claim or cause of action is barred.
GENERAL. Terms and Conditions are subject to change without notice. Raley’s Family of Fine Stores reserves the right to, at its sole discretion, cancel, alter, limit or modify Something Extra® Program rules, regulations, points earning and redeeming structure, or any other feature of the Something Extra® Program at any time, without notice. In accumulating points, Members may not rely on the continued availability of any reward or reward level and have no vested right with respect to points, rewards, reward vouchers, or program benefits. Interpretation of these Terms and Conditions shall be at the sole and absolute discretion of Raley’s Family of Fine Stores.
The Something Extra® Program is offered entirely at the discretion of Raley’s Family of Fine Stores and we reserve the right to end Something Extra® at any time, with or without notice, which may result in the forfeiture of points and reward vouchers, and loss of all benefits and privileges associated with the Something Extra® Program.
